It starts with Education

Solomon Financial believes every individual deserves a solid financial education. We know clients who know more, save more, and are better off in the long run. As Advisors, if you do well, so do we.

Solomon Financial hosts a series of financial literacy classes across Canada.

These classes are free for anyone interested in financial knowledge; we also host a similar series for teens and young adults.

  • Foundation

Our first class is an introduction to the game of finances.

  • Debt

Canadians carry some of the highest levels of consumer debt.

  • Investing

Once your foundation is built, we move on to investing.

  • Taxes

For this class we will focus on tax shelters.

Class One

Foundation.

We know that by slowing down we build more successful clients, and ultimately, a better business.

This philosophy has shaped our unique approach to client planning.  Our starting point is not selling—or even assessing needs—instead, we begin with discovery.

We get to know YOU.  We take time to understand YOUR story,  situation, and where YOU want to go. Not only does that allow us to make proper product recommendations, it also helps us to craft strategies and implement systems that will support YOUR overall financial health.  It may be slower, but it works!

Class Two

Debt.

Debt is never anyone’s favourite topic. However, as Canadians we carry some of the highest levels of consumer debt.

At Solomon, we know often handling debt can be more about emotions than facts.

This is why we touch on strategies to manage debt, but also how to manage the emotions that come with it.

After attending this class, we hope you feel more prepared to handle debt in the future.

Class Three

Investing.

Once your foundation is built, we move on to investing. Our key belief is that by first learning cash flow management you protect all other growth in the future.

For the investing class, we will give you a basic understanding of the types of investments and how they can fit into your real life.

By the end, whether you choose to work with us, or an advisor elsewhere – you will feel more prepared to make educated investment decisions.

Class Four

Taxes.

For this class we will focus on tax shelters.  RRSPs, RESPs, TFSAs and a few others.  We want you to feel comfortable understanding the differences and how each of them are taxed.

Since we covered investing in our last class we will also talk about how investment income is taxed.

For business owners, we will hit a few bonus points on using your corporation as a tax shelter.

Request to Attend.
